The challenge

The lab needed a home for its research that looked as serious as the science: one place for research areas, publications, people and news, that students and staff could keep current themselves without waiting on a developer.

What we built

01Website Development

A website that reads like the lab’s research

A fast Next.js website with an editorial, journal-like design. Research areas, publications, people and news each get a clear home, so visiting researchers, collaborators and prospective students find what they need in a click.

  • Research areas with detail pages and figures
  • Publications grouped by year with links to the papers
  • Team pages for current members and alumni
  • News, events and photo gallery
  • Collaborators and lab resources
  • Contact form

02Website Development

Sanity Studio, set up for a lab

A Sanity Studio with a content type for everything the lab publishes. Changes are drafted, previewed and published by the team, and the website updates on its own.

  • 11 content types, from research areas to publications
  • Drafts and publishing
  • Short and detailed descriptions for each research area
  • Image uploads with automatic resizing
  • Contact form submissions stored in the Studio

“The website finally presents our research the way it deserves. My students and I update publications, news and team members ourselves, and it was live within a month.”
